Thorne began writing professionally in 2003, winning top spots in Simon & Schuster’s prestigious Strange New Worlds anthology as well as the Writers of the Future and Ellery Queen’s Mystery magazine among many other anthologies and magazines. Hi media tie-in novel, Star Trek: Titan novel Sword of Damocles, was a LOCUS Best Seller.
Thorne broke into TV writing on season 9 of the hit series Law & Order: Criminal Intent and moved on to become a writer-producer on multiple seasons of TNT’s hit series Leverage and The Librarians. While on hiatus Thorne indulged his love for comics and action cartoons writing several episodes of Ben 10, Marvel’s Ultimate Spider-Man, and Marvel’s Avengers culminating with him being named head writer and showrunner of the two-time Image Award-nominated series Avengers: Black Panther”s Quest as well as creating the Mosaic character and series for Marvel comics.
Thorne is the executive producer of Pendant Audio’s Dreamnasium, a scripted sci-fi anthology series based on his novella collection of the same name.
In 2019 Thorne was tapped by megastar showrunner Courtney Kemp to be her Co-Executive Producer on the upcoming Power Book II: Ghost, the first spinoff of the Starz Network global phenomenon, Power.
